1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website at writeready.app and all of the PDF tools available on it (together, "WriteReady", "we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. WriteReady is operated by One Last Job, based in Victoria, Australia.

2. What WriteReady provides

WriteReady offers eight free, browser-based PDF tools: Merge PDF, Compress PDF, Fill & Sign PDF, Image to PDF, Manage PDF Pages, Edit PDF, Mark Up PDF, and Protect PDF. The tools run entirely in your web browser; your files are processed on your own device and are not uploaded to us. The Service is provided free of charge and does not require you to create an account. We may add, change, or discontinue features at any time without notice.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use WriteReady lawfully and responsibly. You must not:

• use the Service to create, process, or distribute unlawful, infringing, defamatory, harassing, or deceptive material;
• process documents or images that you do not have the right to use;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to, interfere with, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure;
• scrape, overload, or otherwise degrade the Service; or
• use the Service to process other people's sensitive information without proper authorisation.

You are solely responsible for the files you process and for how you use anything the tools produce.

4. Your files and output

WriteReady's tools modify, organise, annotate, recognise text in, or convert the files you provide. This can include combining PDFs, reducing file size, filling and signing documents, converting images, reordering or removing pages, adding text and images, applying markup and notes, or protecting a PDF with a password. Because processing happens on your device, you are responsible for keeping your own copies of your files. We do not store your files and cannot recover them for you. You should always check the resulting file before relying on it or sharing it.

5. Signatures and professional advice

The Fill & Sign tool lets you add typed text and a drawn signature on top of a PDF. Whether an electronic signature is legally valid depends on your circumstances and the laws that apply to you. WriteReady is a document utility only, and nothing it produces constitutes legal, financial, or other professional advice. For decisions with legal or financial consequences, consult a qualified professional.

6. Ownership of content

You retain all rights to the files you provide and the output you create with the tools, within the limits of the law. WriteReady does not claim ownership of your documents or output. The website itself — including its branding, design, text, and code — belongs to WriteReady and may not be copied or reproduced without our permission.

7. Advertising

WriteReady may display advertisements provided by Google AdSense after advertising is enabled. Advertisers and their content are not endorsed by WriteReady, and we are not responsible for third-party ads or the websites they link to. How advertising data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Third-party services

WriteReady relies on third-party providers — including Cloudflare (hosting and security), Formspree (contact form), and, if advertising is enabled, Google (AdSense) — each with its own terms and privacy policies. Your use of the Service may be subject to these providers' respective terms. See our Privacy Policy for details.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

WriteReady is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any output will meet your requirements. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WriteReady and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or opportunity, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Service or any file it produces. Because the Service is provided free of charge, our total liability to you is limited to zero.

11. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless WriteReady and its operator from any claims, damages, losses, or costs arising out of your misuse of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your improper use of any file produced with the tools.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
